Russell Griffith was born June 23rd, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas. He was the oldest child of Mrs. Mildred Griffith and Mr. Robert Griffith from Seguin, Texas.

Russell attended Sul Ross College in Alpine, Texas and Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas on football scholarships. He had a long and successful career in the engineering field which even brought him and his family to Saudi Arabia for several years where they met lifetime friends and created life long memories. After his time in Saudi Arabia, Russell found his “career home” at Chevron, based here in Houston, Texas. Outside of his family, Russell loved his career, but more so the people at Chevron more than anything. His time at Chevron was truly the best years of his life where he was known as being “the manager for the people.” Russell was a compassionate, intelligent and funny man. He enjoyed several hobbies such as traveling, going to concerts and was a die-hard sports fan. His favorite times were trips with his wife, country music stars “Big and Rich” and of course, the Houston Texans and Houston Astros.
