JACK C. ANDREWS

1944-2015

Mr. Jack Cameron Andrews of Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 21, 2015.

Jack Cameron was born February 2nd, 1944 in Dallas, Texas. He was the only child of Mrs. Mary Jean Cameron Andrews of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mr. Jack McLeod Andrews of Dallas, Texas.

Jack Cameron attended Texas A&M and later graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Mathematics. He had a long and accomplished career working globally in the emerging fields of computer programming, systems engineering and product development for several international corporations, ultimately working as a consultant before he retired.

Jack was a complex and interesting man. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed many interests and hobbies. His favorites were cycling and scuba diving around the world in places such as Turks and Caicos.

Jack Cameron passed away unexpectedly and leaving behind family and friends who did not get to say their goodbyes, and will miss him.

Jack is survived by two sons, his eldest son, Jack Vogel Andrews, daughter-inlaw, Jacqueline and granddaughter, Haley Catherine; his son David Cameron Andrews, daughter-in-law Julia and granddaughter Ella; and their mother Carole Vogel Andrews.

As he was want to say parting ways or in closing an email or phone call, we all want to say a heartfelt ‘Ciao Jack!’

The family will receive friends Friday, May 8, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Houston’s First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024.
