Mr. Jack Cameron Andrews of Houston, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday April 21, 2015.

Jack Cameron was born February 2nd, 1944 in Dallas, Texas. He was the only child of Mrs. Mary Jean Cameron Andrews of Kansas City, Missouri, and Mr. Jack McLeod Andrews of Dallas, Texas.

Jack Cameron attended Texas A&M and later graduated from the University of Houston with a degree in Mathematic­s. He had a long and accomplish­ed career working globally in the emerging fields of computer programmin­g, systems engineerin­g and product developmen­t for several internatio­nal corporatio­ns, ultimately working as a consultant before he retired.

Jack was a complex and interestin­g man. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed many interests and hobbies. His favorites were cycling and scuba diving around the world in places such as Turks and Caicos.

Jack Cameron passed away unexpected­ly and leaving behind family and friends who did not get to say their goodbyes, and will miss him.

Jack is survived by two sons, his eldest son, Jack Vogel Andrews, daughter-inlaw, Jacqueline and granddaugh­ter, Haley Catherine; his son David Cameron Andrews, daughter-in-law Julia and granddaugh­ter Ella; and their mother Carole Vogel Andrews.

As he was want to say parting ways or in closing an email or phone call, we all want to say a heartfelt ‘Ciao Jack!’

The family will receive friends Friday, May 8, 2015 from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Houston’s First Baptist Church, 7401 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024.
