Kingwood club installs new board members at May luncheon

Kingwood Women’s Club’s new board members for the 2015-16 year were installed at a May luncheon. Members are, clockwise, top, left, are Su Duggan, VP programs; Donna Wiener, secretary; Kaye Reifschnei­der, VP membership; Debbie Spears, VP philanthro­py; Sara Fuchs, VP social; Lu Ann Schmidt, treasurer; Carole Covey, VP projects; Bobbie Wells, president and Clotile Berlin, VP ways and means. Kingwood Women’s Club is a nonprofit, philanthro­pic organizati­on dedicated to supporting local charitable organizati­ons. The yearly fundraiser, The Holiday Marketplac­e, will be held October 27,. Precinct 4 seniors enjoy county fair activities at Humble Civic Center

Precinct 4 residents from nine area assisted living facilities enjoyed activities during Commission­er R. Jack Cagle’s eighth annual Precinct 4 County Fair at the Humble Civic Center on May 19. Audience members had the opportunit­y to see the Amazing Blake Nichols perform magic and card tricks. A petting zoo, treats, balloon animals created by performer Hi-Lo, and carnival games helped make the event extra special. Precinct 4’s Senior Adult Program hosts activities throughout the year, including live performanc­es at the Precinct 4 Opry in Humble Aug. 14 and a performanc­e by The Lettermen at the Crighton Theatre Aug. 29. The Senior Adult Program is part of Harris County Precinct 4 Commission­er R. Jack Cagle’s educationa­l and recreation­al commitment to Harris County residents.
