Auditions planned for first shows of the 2015-16 season

Houston Family Arts Center announces open auditions for the first four shows of its 2015-16 season including “Lend Me a Tenor,” “Into the Woods,” “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “Forever Plaid.”

Auditions are Saturday, May 30 with callbacks, if necessary, on Sunday, May 31 by invitation only.

Open auditions will primarily be for lead roles in the first four productions of the season, but actors for other parts in all shows, including ensemble/chorus throughout the season will be considered.

It is possible that a show in the first half of the season is entirely cast from this open audition. However, any roles not cast during this open audition will be cast during the regular show auditions prior to the first rehearsal date. Watch for audition announcements four to six weeks prior to the first rehearsal dates on this portion of our website.

If you are not cast from this open audition or are not ready to accept a role at this time, you can always audition again.

They will also conduct another open audition for the second half of the 2015/2016 season in early December 2015.

Auditions are open to the community and all parts may be cast with actors of any ethnicity.

They are looking for all ages and types of actors and singer/actors.
