Fort Bend County students earn recognition for achievements
The following local students were named 2015 National Merit Scholars. They are among 2,500 winners nationwide selected from a pool of 15,000 finalists. Each receives a $2,500 award. Mercadel and Elkins High student Temitope Oluwatosin Olabinjo, both of Sugar Land, are among about 800 outstanding black American high school seniors to receive Achievement Scholarship awards through the National Achievement Scholarship Program.
