Clifford Lane

hunting, fishing, and golf. He never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome in his home, at his job, and at his renowned tailgate parties. He enjoyed telling stories as well as counseling young people. Clifford will be remembered as a generous, caring, loving, gregarious man who touched many lives.

Clifford is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia; children, Sally, Doyle and wife Terri; grandsons, Nathaniel and Spencer. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Donald and Richard.

A celebratio­n of life is scheduled for 11:00 AM, May 30 at VFW Post 2427, 14408 Alice Rd., Tomball, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Associatio­n 1134 Finfeather Rd., Bryan, Texas, 77803.

Clifford Lane died on April 24, at age 78.

He was born on June 14, 1936 in Gallatin, Tx. to Clifford and Sallie Lane. He graduated from Texas A&M University with degrees in Industrial Technology and Business Administra­tion. Clifford served in the U.S. Air Force and the Air Force Reserves, retiring as a Major. He worked as a sales engineer, including thirty years as owner of Texas Technical Products. Clifford was active in civic organizati­ons, the Air Force Associatio­n and Instrument Society of America.

Clifford was passionate about Texas A&M and The Corps of Cadets. He was an effective ambassador for the university and recruited many students to the Corps over the years.
