Onsite services convenient for Arbor Terrace residents
Conveniences for residents abound at Arbor Terrace at Kingwood Town Center, including onsite rehabilitation services. The convenience of receiving short-term rehabilitation or therapy right at home while receiving support from the staff at Arbor Terrace helps residents achieve and maintain the independence and lifestyle they want.
Arbor Terrace resident Art Ponder described the availability of onsite rehabilitation services as a blessing. He’s receiving therapy to help him recover the mobility he enjoyed before a recent illness left him weak.
“They are doing things that are just right for me,” Ponder said about the customized services he’s receiving at Arbor Terrace at Kingwood Town Center. “It makes me feel good to know I will be able to get mobile again. I like to be on the go.”
Ponder’s daughter, Jan Sherrill, shared that the therapy her father receives three times weekly is helping him regain his balance.
“The staff is giving him more confidence to stand and regain his independence,” said Sherrill. “Because the services are right here, he’ll be able to stay on a maintenance program once he finishes with his current therapy.”
Ponder appreciates the convenience of receiving therapy right in his apartment at Arbor Terrace, and he tries to diligently complete the personalized exercises staff has given him to do independently. He also enjoys using the exercise bike located in the community’s gym.
“It’s all so convenient and the staff is extremely helpful,” Ponder said. “They have the kindest and nicest people here to help me.”
