Betty Jean Perry at the age of 87 passed away peacefully at Gazebo Terrace Rehabilita­tion Center in Brenham, Texas on Sunday September 6, 2015. She was born in Houston, Texas on April 19, 1928 to father A. Marvin Cain and mother Opal Lee Cain. Betty married the love of her life Dallas H Perry on December 20, 1951. She became a nurse after they were married and worked as a nurse until Dallas retired. After their retirement Betty and Dallas loved traveling in their RV and visiting destinatio­ns throughout the United States and Canada. Betty loved reading, dancing, painting, a lot of shopping, and even a little golf. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Dallas Perry, her son Wendall Dal Perry, and her sisters Charlene Jackson, Luva Hall and Johnnie Williams. She is survived by her sons Gene Perry and fiancée Jeannie Hughes, Don Andrew and wife Linda. Granddaugh­ters’ Courtney, Lisa and Risa. Great Granddaugh­ters’ Sara, Samantha, Sydney and Raegan. The visitation will be held at Memorial Oaks Chapel at 13001 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas on Friday September 11, 2015 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The services will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 11:00 am at Garden Oaks Baptist Church 3206 N Shepherd Dr, Houston, Texas. A reception will be held at the church following the service. The family would like express our deepest gratitude to LaRoche Manor Memory Care Unit and Gazebo Terrace Rehabilita­tion Center in Brenham for their love and care of our loved one during her stay at each facility. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to Garden Oaks Baptist Church or to The Alzheimer’s Associatio­n.
