Rockets-Kings,

9:30 pm. Friday, ESPN, Root Sports Southwest

Rockets-Clippers,

9:30 p.m. Saturday, Root Sports Southwest. After an 0-3 start, the Rockets have finally won two in a row but take to the road against another team in the Clippers that they faced in the 2014-15 playoffs.

Cincinnati-Houston,

2:30 p.m. Saturday, ESPN2. Toledo’s loss to Northern Illinois removes one obstacle between the Cougars and a New Year’s Six bowl game, but UH must keep winning. Dave Lamont and Ray Bentley will call the game.

TCU-Oklahoma State,

2:30 p.m. Saturday, Fox Sports 1. Given how poorly the Big 12 teams fared in the initial College Football Playoff poll, both teams will be looking to make an impression in this first of a series of November games that will decide the league title.

LSU-Alabama,

7 p.m. Saturday, Ch. 11. If it’s anything like the 2011 epic overtime game, this should be quite a spectacle — and the traffic both ways on Interstate 10 afterward will be unspeakable. CBS Sports announcers Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson will call the game.

NASCAR AAA Texas 500,

1 p.m. Sunday, Ch. 2. Jeff Gordon leads Kyle Busch and Martin Truex Jr. in the Chase standings entering the race in Fort Worth.
