Elinor Curtin Dalheim, passed away on December 12, 2015 in Houston, Texas, with her family by her side. She was born on June 20, 1922 in Syracuse, New York, to Joseph Raymond Curtin and Helen Redmond Curtin. Elinor grew up in Syracuse with her three beloved brothers, the late Raymond, David, and Edward Curtin. She graduated from Syracuse University, and a few years later, married her husband of 60 years, the late William (Bill) Dalheim. During Bill’s career in the oil and gas industry, the couple and their four children lived in New York, Maryland, Louisiana, Illinois, Connecticu­t, Arkansas, and Texas. Throughout her life, Elinor was devoted to her family and maintained a strong Roman Catholic faith. She was active in several service organizati­ons, including Meals on Wheels, Heifer Internatio­nal, and the St. Mary Magdalene Food Bank.

Elinor is survived by sons Edward (wife Patricia) of Dallas, Texas, and William (wife Patricia) of Houston; daughters Mary Dalheim (husband Marc Schildkrau­t) of Washington, D.C. and Elizabeth Van Doren (husband Mark) of Houston; five grandchild­ren, Cullen (wife Joanne), Clayton (wife Danielle), Kirk, and Nicholas Dalheim and Kenneth Van Doren; two great grandchild­ren, Harper and Henry Dalheim; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 625 Nottingham Oaks Trail, Houston. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary commencing at 7 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home.
