Help drive veterans to clinic appointments
Volunteers are needed to transport veterans from outlying areas to the VA for appointments. Volunteers should be of a caring, compassionate nature and willing to assist patients in every aspect of their clinic visit. Drivers needed from most areas. Vehicles provided.
Literacy for kids
Volunteers are needed for a reading and writing program for underserved students in the Sunnyside/South Acres area of Houston. The program needs people who want to share their knowledge and gift with young people. The program will provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions focused on building their reading and writing skills in comprehension, reading fluency and vocabulary. The program will be provided for two hours on the second and third of the month through April 2016. Are you into fitness?
As clients with disabilities grow in age, they need help with motivation to exercise and learn new ways of staying fit. As Fitness Fanatics, volunteers have the opportunity to help clients stay in shape and build healthier eating habits.

• Volunteers are needed to assist with propagation and care of plants in greenhouses, as well as help with light greenhouse maintenance.
