Rice Village to host weekend of discounts

Rice Village retailers are hosting a weekend of discounts during Shopping Alfresco Feb. 12-15.

The President’s Day weekend event also features art by local artisans for purchase. Rice Village retailers and fashion boutiques will feature sidewalk sale offers from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. On Feb. 13 and 14, Rice Village Flea vendors will showcase their specialty home décor pieces, works of art and wine and food items.

“Shopping Alfresco is the perfect way to leisurely enjoy the long President’s Day weekend,” said Pamela Vargas, assistant general manager of Rice Village. “In addition to discounts at our boutiques, we are thrilled to partner with the Rice Village Flea to bring our guests unique, handcrafted items by local artisans.”

Rice Village is an outdoor shopping, dining and entertainment district near Rice University in Houston featuring more than 40 retail and restaurant options located at Kirby and University boulevards.

Visitors to Rice Village have access to two-hour street level parking and complimentary garage parking for up to two hours with a voucher.
