Fernandez fans 13 vs. Cubs

MIAMI — Jose Fernandez delivered another gem at Marlins Park, allowing one run in seven innings and striking out 13 on Sunday to help Miami beat the faltering Chicago Cubs 6-1.

The Marlins won three of four from the injury-depleted Cubs, who went 1-6 for the week.

Fernandez improved his career record at home to 24-1 with a 1.48 ERA, and this year the righthande­r has been pretty good everywhere — he’s 10-3 with a 2.28 ERA and 138 strikeouts.

Giancarlo Stanton doubled and scored the go-ahead run in the sixth for the Marlins.

INDIANS 9, TIGERS 3: Lonnie Chisenhall had four hits, including one of Cleveland’s four home runs, and visiting Cleveland won its ninth straight game.

WHITE SOX 5, BLUE JAYS 2: Chris Sale pitched eight innings of two-run ball to become the majors’ first 13-game winner, and host Chicago beat Toronto.

PIRATES 4, DODGERS 3: David Freese hit a three-run double in the second as Pittsburgh beat visiting Los Angeles and Clayton Kershaw.

GIANTS 8, PHILLIES 7: Conor Gillaspie hit a game-ending RBI double with one out in the ninth inning to lift host San Francisco past Philadelph­ia.

ANGELS 7, ATHLETICS 6: Jeffry Marte drove in Mike Trout with a game-ending sacrifice fly, and host Los Angeles stopped a six-game losing streak with a win over Oakland.

RANGERS 6, RED SOX 2: Martin Perez pitched six solid innings for his sixth straight win as host Texas beat Boston.

ROCKIES 9, DIAMONDBAC­KS 7: Mark Reynolds hit a two-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Colorado a victory over Arizona.

NATIONALS 3, BREWERS 2: Tanner Roark pitched seven shutout innings, and visiting Washington ended a sevengame losing streak with a win over Milwaukee.

CARDINALS 11, MARINERS 6: Matt Carpenter and Tommy Pham each homered twice as St. Louis beat host Seattle.

ORIOLES 12, RAYS 5: Chris Davis hit his seventh career grand slam and host Baltimore beat Tampa Bay.

REDS 3, PADRES 0: Anthony DeSclafani pitched eight scoreless innings as host Cincinnati beat San Diego.

BRAVES 5, METS 2: Freddie Freeman and Adonis Garcia homered and host Atlanta beat Bartolo Colon and New York.

TWINS 7, YANKEES 1: Tyler Duffey pitched two-hit ball for eight innings and Minnesota beat host New York.
