Indians win 11th straight

ATLANTA — Carlos Santana hit a tie-breaking single in Cleveland’s three-run ninth inning, Corey Kluber allowed only three hits in eight innings, and the Indians beat the Atlanta Braves 5-3 on Tuesday night for their 11th straight win. The winning streak is Cleveland’s longest in 34 years. Arodys Vizcaino (1-3) walked Tyler Naquin to open the ninth and then walked Juan Uribe on four pitches. With pinch runner Rajai Davis at first base, pinch hitter Michael Martinez struck out.

RANGERS 7, YANKEES 1: Cole Hamels breezed through seven shutout innings to win his fourth consecutiv­e start, Adrian Beltre homered and drove in three runs, and rolling Texas beat host New York.

CUBS 7, REDS 2 (15): Kris Bryant singled home the tiebreakin­g run in the 15th inning as visiting Chicago beat Cincinnati.

NATIONALS 5, METS 0: Lucas Giolito threw four scoreless innings in his rain-shortened major league debut as host Washington beat New York.

DODGERS 6, BREWERS 5: Rookie Julio Urias battled through six innings for his first major league victory, Adrian Gonzalez had three hits, and visiting Los Angeles hung on for a victory over Milwaukee.

RED SOX 8, RAYS 2: Rick Porcello pitched six strong innings, Travis Shaw homered and drove in five runs for the third time this season, and visiting Boston beat Tampa Bay to end a three-game losing streak.

CARDINALS 8, ROYALS 4: Just about everybody in the St. Louis lineup drove in a run, Michael Wacha was good enough on the mound, and St. Louis held off host Kansas City.

TIGERS 7, MARLINS 5: Jose Iglesias and Nick Castellano­s homered during a seven-run fifth inning for host Detroit. Giancarlo Stanton hit a two-run homer for Miami.

TWINS 4, WHITE SOX 0: Brian Dozier homered twice and drove in four runs, Kyle Gibson pitched seven innings of five-hit ball for his first victory of the season, and visiting Minnesota blanked Chicago.
