INF David Freese signed a two-year, $11 million contract that takes him through the 2018 season.

Under the deal, Freese will make $6.25 million in 2017 and $4.25 million in 2018. There’s a $6 million club option for 2019 or a $500,000 buyout.

Freese, 33, signed a one-year, $3 million deal as a free agent in March. The eight-year veteran has made 59 starts at third base and 26 at first base.
