For the third year, the Houston Chronicle’s annual Culinary Stars event — which celebrates the city’s dining scene and marks the unveiling of critic Alison Cook’s Top 100 Restaurants list — played host to a sell-out crowd. During the party, which took place this year at the newspaper’s office, 32 of Houston’s top chefs served up bite sizes of signature dishes as wine, scotch and cocktails flowed freely. In the end, Oxheart restaurant was awarded Cook’s top spot. Tickets for next year’s event are on sale at houston culinary stars. com/tickets.
