Regarding “Unwanted exposure” (Page B1, Tuesday), the story spotlights the dilemma many artists face when not only trying to protect but also profit from their own, original work.
Jim Olive deserves every penny he asked for. Unfortunately, this is only another example of how too many artists are treated in this modern world.
The University of Houston should pay up, but I don’t believe it will. And watch — no one will care enough about the artists to change laws that might help protect their work from thieves. It’s a sad commentary on how artists and their work are valued in society. Jae F. Harris, Houston
