- By Greg Morago greg.morago@chron.com

What better way to inaugurate a jazz series than with some jazzy cocktails?

Canopy, 3939 Montrose, has created a lineup of drinks inspired by jazz greats in conjunction with its new weekend Jazz Nights, hosted by Houston jazz composer and performer Paul English. From 8 to 11 p.m. Saturdays and 7 to 10 p.m. Sundays, customers can catch live performances by vocalists and instrumentalists at the restaurant, where a full dinner menu will be available.

Reservations are recommended, and there is a $10 cover charge for entertainment. Here’s a taste of the greats.
