Poorly written Javascript might be cause of error

Q: I get a pop-up that says, “An error has occurred in this script on this page” on certain websites. Is there a way to fix this problem?

A: Websites use Javascript for certain functions, and, unfortunately, some Javascript is poorly written and causes errors like this when browsing the web.

This is most common in Internet Explorer. So switching to another browser like Chrome or Firefox might give you a better experience.

If you want to keep using Internet Explorer but rid yourself of these annoying messages, you can disable the Script Debugging feature in IE.

The process is pretty much the same for all versions. Click on the Start button and type Internet Options and hit Enter. Then select the Advanced tab and scroll down to the Browsing section and put a check in the box next to Disable script debugging (Internet Explorer) and Disable script debugging (Other), and then click OK.

Restart Internet Explorer, and these pop-ups should go away.

Q: I have a digital picture frame that worked great with a new Samsung 64GB SD card. Foolishly, I formatted the SD card using my computer, and now the frame will not show any of my images. I have been trying to find an answer on the internet for two days and am stumped. Any leads?

A: In my experience, these digital picture frames can be very finicky about the type, size and format of the memory cards they use to display your photos.

Since the frame worked with your SD card before you formatted it, I am going to guess that you probably formatted it using a files system that is incompatible with the frame.

My recommendation would be to format the SD card as FAT32, which is the most commonly used file system for devices like these.

Place the SD card in your card reader, and then open up My Computer to see all of your drives. Find the SD card and right click it and select Format.

In the window that pops up, select FAT32 in the drop down under File system and leave everything else as it is. Then click start.

Once this completes, copy your images back onto the SD card and try your digital picture frame again.
