Watching state legislators

- Proverbs 16:9

Regarding “Lawmakers face need to tighten belts” (HoustonChronicle.com, Monday), I’m sure the tax incentives for companies will remain intact, if not grow. Education and health care funding will bear the brunt of the cuts — they always do in Texas.

On the off-chance that there’s a state legislator reading this, let me issue a stern warning: A vote to cut already insufficient education or health care funding isn’t just a vote. It’s evidence of your lies. You can’t claim to care about the future and then shoot it in the leg. You can’t claim to be pro-life and not care if people get sick and die. Don’t think we voters aren’t watching. Adam Weiss, posted on HoustonChronicle.com A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
