DONALD ALEXANDER NELSON

1944-2017

Donald Alexander Nelson was born to Ollie and Andrew Nelson on January 1, 1944, in Bay Louis, MS, and he left this world on January 14, 2017. Preceding him in death were his parents and sister Juliette Landtroop and son Christopher Reddington.

Left to grieve his passing is his loving wife of 40 years Fran ‘Noit’ Nelson and her family Merilynn Atkins & husband Jack, their two children Austin Atkins & wife Casey, & Ashley Salazar & husband Hiram as well as their two daughters Ellie and Lydia. Don also had two brothers Tommy Nelson and Peter Nelson and three sisters Joyce Cuevas, Elaine Grass and Kathy Ladner all of MS. Don’s career consisted of 42 years in piping design and construction management in the United States, Italy, Saudi Arabia, China, and Mexico for ABB, Bechtel, The Shaw Group, Brown & Root, and C.E. Lummus.

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 16, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg with Pastor Rhonda Detenbeck presiding.
