No. 2 Baylor thumps Kansas; A&M improves to 4-1 in SEC

LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kalani Brown scored 16 points, Nina Davis added 15, and No. 2 Baylor throttled Kansas 92-43 on Sunday.

The Lady Bears (17-2, 6-0 Big 12) ran out to a 10-0 lead in the first four minutes and were up by 23 at halftime.

Baylor had seven field goals in the third quarter to just one for Kansas. With a 38-point lead heading into the final 10 minutes, coach Kim Mulkey took out all of her starters.

Jessica Washington scored 15 for Kansas.

TEXAS A&M 67, FLORIDA 59

Danni Williams scored 25 points, including five 3-pointers, and the Aggies defeated the Gators in Gainesvill­e, Fla.

Curtyce Knox had 16 points, and Khaalia Hillsman added 15 points and nine rebounds for Texas A&M (14-4, 4-1 Southeaste­rn Conference).

TCU 80, IOWA ST. 75

Jada Butts scored a career-high 25 points, and the Horned Frogs beat the Cyclones in Fort Worth for their first Big 12 victory of the season.

Toree Thompson added 14 points, and AJ Alix 13 for TCU (9-8, 1-5).

WASHINGTON 65 ARIZONA ST. 54

Kelsey Plum snapped out of an off shooting night to score 15 points in the fourth quarter, and the No. 8 Huskies pulled away to beat the 19th-ranked Sun Devils in Tempe, Ariz.

LOUISVILLE 63, MIAMI 59

Mariya Moore scored 24 points, including eight in the fourth quarter, to lead the ninth-ranked Cardinals past the No. 14 Hurricanes in Louisville, Ky.

NORTH CAROLINA ST. 55 DUKE 52

Dominique Wilson scored 16 points, Chelsea Nelson had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and the No. 23 Wolfpack beat the 12th-ranked Blue Devils in Raleigh, N.C.

UTAH 63, CALIFORNIA 57

Malia Nawahine and Emily Potter scored 15 points apiece, and the Utes held on to upset the No. 24 Golden Bears in Salt Lake City.

Men SMU 80, TULANE 64

Semi Ojeleye scored 21 points, and Jarrey Foster added 19 to lift the Mustangs over the Green Wave in New Orleans.

Ben Moore contribute­d 15 points and Shake Milton got 11 to go with nine rebounds for SMU (15-4, 5-1 American Athletic Conference), which shot 31-of-61 from the field. Ojeleye and Foster each had three 3-pointers.

CINCINNATI 55 EAST CAROLINA 46

Kyle Washington had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and the No. 22 Bearcats beat the Pirates in Greenville, N.C., for their eighth consecutiv­e victory.

Jacob Evans III added 10 points for Cincinnati (15-2, 5-0 American Athletic), which extended its longest winning streak since the 2013-14 team reeled off 15 straight.
