Light lunch leads to exciting surprise

-

Brenda, a resident of Elmcroft of River shire, loves seafood. In the past, she would frequently eat at a local restaurant with her daughter, Michelle. But she had not had the pleasure for quite some time.

So, Elmcroft decided to take her out for lunch. And Brenda was happily surprised when her daughter arrived with flowers to eat lunch with her on the special day.

No matter how young or how old, everyone has hopes and dreams. Some dreams are big; some not so big, but Elmcroft Senior Living is making dreams come true for seniors in its communities.

Elmcroft is partnering with Second Wind Dreams to fulfill a dream in each of its 83 communities every month.

The organization helps people realize that everyone, no matter what their age, has unrealized hopes and aspirations. Fulfilling these dreams helps change the perception of aging, and empowers seniors to age with dignity, hope and joy.

At Elmcroft of Cy-Fair, Bernice wished to be pampered and feel like her young self again.

“We took Bernice to the local nail salon, and the moment she arrived, the ladies treated her like a queen,” said Brittany Moreau, executive director.

Bernice had her nails done, along with a relaxing leg and foot massage.

“She returned home to the community feeling like a million bucks and showing off her nails,” Moreau said.

Elmcroft, which takes pride in offering muchneeded services for seniors across the United States, will continue to partner with Second Wind Dreams to help make the dreams of seniors come true.
