Barbara Bush stays another night in hospital

Barbara Bush remained at Houston Methodist Hospital Sunday night, even though she was given the option to be discharged during the day.

She opted to continue her recovery alongside her husband.

George H.W. Bush, 92, was admitted to the hospital more than a week ago for breathing difficulties. He is expected to be taken out of the ICU in the next day or two, according to a statement from family spokesman Jim McGrath, that also reported that the former president has normal vital signs.

“Finally for today, the Bushes are concerned about making sure they thank their well-wishers for their kindness, and especially their prayers,” the statement concluded.
