Edmond Sumner overcame a painful left shoulder and led a second-half surge that propelled the No. 22 Musketeers to a victory over the Hoyas in Cincinnati, ending Xavier’s longest losing streak in three years.

Xavier had dropped three straight — all against ranked Big East teams.
