RUBEN DANIEL LOZANO

Ruben Lozano, 59, of Houston, Texas passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2017. Ruben was born on October 12, 1957, in Houston, Texas, and is the son of the late Ramiro G. “Sonny” Lozano and Mary A. Lozano. He is survived by his companion of 14 years, Ofelia Ledesma. Ruben was a “free spirit” at heart, who enjoyed fishing and hosting a good barbeque for family and friends. Ruben attended Jeff Davis High School and started a career in the automotive industry soon thereafter. He opened a number of automobile related businesses in the 1980’s and 1990’s. Ruben inspired many of his business associates to open their own businesses with his tenacious ability to lead. Survivors, include daughters, Vanessa Valles (Mario), Gena Anderson (Joe Cervantes), Jessica Lopez (Justin), and Pamela Anderson, and sons, Ruben Lozano Jr. (Krystal), Richard Lozano (Kimberly), Robert Lozano; sisters, Virginia Lozano (W. Ross McMicken), Norma L. Lozano, and brothers, Steve Lozano, Ramiro G. Lozano, Jr. (Debbie), Joseph M. Lozano, Larry Lozano, Jay Lozano (Dora), and Michael Lozano (Liz); grandchildren, Monika Lozano-Valles, Victoria Valles, Max Valles, Jordan Lozano, Joshua Lozano, Nevaeh Lozano, Daden Lopez, Evan Lopez, Noelle Lopez, Caleb Lozano, Nicholas Cervantes, Liliana Cervantes, and Dominic Cervantes; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and great grandchildren. Ruben will be remembered for his big heart, warm infectious smile, and calm demeanor. He always had a smile, even in the toughest of times. He will be greatly missed. A viewing is to be held on Saturday, February 18, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Funeraria Del Angel funeral home at 5100 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77022. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, at 10:00 am at the Funeraria Del Angel funeral home, and the internment will be at Hollywood Cemetery immediately following the service.
