Kansas at Baylor

1 When: Noon Saturday TV: CBS The Jayhawks and Bears entered the week ranked No. 3 and No. 4, respective­ly by the Associated Press. But the NCAA tournament selection committee has the Jayhawks No. 2 and Baylor No. 3. When they met at Lawrence on Feb. 1, Kansas won 73-68.

NBA All-Star Game

2 When: 7 p.m. Sunday TV: TNT Of course, there will be no defense played. But some of the combinatio­ns could be interestin­g. James Harden, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook on the floor together again? Three Warriors plus a couple of ringers against LeBron James?

NBA All-Star Saturday

3 When: 7 p.m. Saturday TV: TNT These competitio­ns are often as entertaini­ng as the next night’s game. Eric Gordon represents the Rockets in the three-point contest. Houston native DeAndre Jordan will be in the dunk contest. There also is a skills challenge. The Rising Stars Challenge is scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. on TNT.

SMU at Houston

4 When: 5 p.m. Saturday TV: ESPN2 The Mustangs moved up to No. 19 in the polls after upsetting AAC leader Cincinnati last Saturday. The Cougars lost to SMU at Dallas 85-64 on Jan. 21 but have won six consecutiv­e since.

Baylor at Texas women

5 When: 8 p.m. Monday TV: ESPN2 The Longhorns broke a 14-game losing streak against the Lady Bears with an 85-79 upset victory on Feb. 6 at Waco. Baylor dropped from No. 2 to No. 5 in the coaches’ poll while Texas advanced from No. 11 to No. 10.

Daytona 500 qualifying

6 When: 2:10 p.m. Sunday TV: Fox The new NASCAR season gets into gear with qualifying for the Feb. 26 Dayton 500. Each driver gets two rounds to decide the starting order. Despite concerns over the concussion that has prevented him from racing since last July, Dale Earnhardt Jr. returns to the track.

Genesis Open

7 When: FridaySund­ay TV: Golf Channel (Friday), CBS (SaturdaySu­nday) Tiger Woods was supposed to return to Riviera, where he first played in a PGA Tour event, but withdrew because of his back injury. It could be a duel between Jordan Spieth, who won last week at Pebble Beach, and Justin Thomas.

Rice at Texas baseball

8 When: FridaySund­ay TV: Longhorn Network The No. 23 Owls start their season at 6:30 p.m. Friday, continue with a doublehead­er starting at 3 p.m. Saturday and end the series at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Longhorns have a new coach in David Pierce.

Bowling Green at Texas A&M baseball

9 When: Friday-Sunday TV: SEC Network Plus The No. 20 Aggies open their season at Blue Bell Park with a three-game series. Starting times are 6:30 p.m. Friday, 1 p.m. Saturday and noon Sunday.

Virginia at North Carolina

10 When: 7:15 p.m. Saturday TV: ESPN Except for Kansas at Baylor, this is the most attractive men’s college basketball game of the weekend. The Tar Heels have moved back into the top 10 at No. 10. The Cavaliers fell to No. 14 after losing in double overtime Sunday to unranked Virginia Tech.
