Mash The Woodlands is being hosted by The Woodlands Bike Social beginning at 7 p.m. Sunday at Sammy’s Sports Grill and Bar, 709 Riley Ruzzel Road, in Spring. RUNNING
Jolly Jester Jaunt 5K and 10K on Saturday morning in the Galveston Historical District launches a celebration of Mardi Gras. Diva Dash 5K & Lil’ Princess Girls Run Houston starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Pearland Town Center, corner of Texas 288 and FM 518. Girls ages 8 and under who participate in this 50- to 200-yard fun run based on age will receive a T-shirt, custom bib, tiara and Lil’ Princess medal. Run of Pi at Lynn Eusan Park begins at 8 a.m. Saturday at Lynn Eusan Park on the University of Houston main campus. The event supports Houston area STEM programs. Instead of the typical 5K road race (3.10 miles), the course will be extended four-hundredths of a mile to 3.14 miles to debut the “Run of Pi.” The elementary, middle and high school teams with the most registered participants will be awarded a grant to support an existing STEM program at their respective school.
