Drive-by shots injure man after funeral
One man was wounded Saturday night after a possibly gang-related drive-by shooting in southeast Houston, according to police.
The outburst of violence came around 10 p.m. as friends and family returning from a funeral were gathering in front of a home near the corner of Glenhollow and Westover, Houston police said.
As a car drove by the scene, an unidentified man hung a gun out the window and opened fire, shooting one man twice — once in the arm and once in the leg.
The victim was rushed to Ben Taub Hospital in serious but stable condition and is expected to survive.
The suspects fled the scene, and no description is currently available.
Police said they believe the shooting could be gang-related.
