Amazing Place can offer help

-

When you or a loved one has been diagnosed with dementia, it’s not unusual to be overwhelmed with many emotions and questions. Dementia is a disease that affects the whole family.

Many feel fear, sadness and sometimes, even denial or shame. Amazing Place can help.

As a day center for adults with mild to moderate dementia, Amazing Place provides a stimulating program for those dealing with the disease. Research supports the benefits of structure and cognitive, physical, spiritual and social stimulation for those with dementia.

In addition, Amazing Place offers daily health care monitoring with an on-site RN, and brain-healthy nutrition. What is often surprising to many is that the cost of the daily program is significantly less than in-home care.

Amazing Place also offers respite and support for caregivers, including support groups, Powerful Tools for Caregivers classes and counseling with a licensed social worker. The new Memory Café is open the second Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon for both caregivers and their loved ones with early-stage dementia.

Amazing Place is committed to helping families navigate through this journey of dementia and caregiving.
