NCAA MEN’S BASKETBALL REGIONALS

1 When: FridaySund­ay TV: CBS, TBS You may now resume forgetting for the next year where to find truTV or even that the channel exists. The Sweet 16 games Friday will be on CBS and TBS. Elite Eight games will be on TBS on Saturday and on CBS on Sunday.

Thunder at Rockets

2 When: 2:30 p.m. Sunday TV: ABC The featured national game of the weekend matches two teams that could meet in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. The Rockets also meet the Pelicans on Root at 7 p.m. Friday and the Warriors on Root at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

NCAA women’s basketball regionals

3 When: Friday-Monday TV: ESPN, ESPN2 The UConn winning streak has reached 109 as the Huskies prepare to play close to home in the Bridgeport Regional, where Maryland could at least challenge. Sweet 16 games are scheduled for ESPN, Elite Eight games for ESPN2.

Nationals at Astros

4

When: 12:05 p.m. Saturday, 12:05 p.m. Sunday, TV: Root As the Astros near the end of spring training in West Palm Beach, these two teams play each other in back-to-back games in the new ballpark they share. By this time next week, the Astros will be back in Houston for exhibition­s against the Cubs.

Cavaliers at Spurs

5 When: 7 p.m. Monday TV: TNT Viewers can only hope the two coaches respect a national audience, a lucrative TV contract and the game enough to use their best players in a matchup that could be a preview of the NBA Finals.

Dell Technologi­es Match Play

When: Thursday-Sunday TV: Golf Channel (Friday), NBC (Saturday, Sunday) Many of the top golfers will spend the next two weeks in Texas, this week at the Austin Country Club for a World Golf Championsh­ips event and the following week at the Shell Houston Open for a regular tour stop in preparatio­n for the April 6-9 Masters.

Honduras at United States

7 When: 9:30 p.m. Friday TV: FS1 In the first official game since coach Bruce Arena’s return, the U.S. men’s national team is in dire need of a victory at home in this 2018 World Cup qualifier at San Jose, Calif. The U.S. plays at Panama on Tuesday.

Auto Club 400

8 When: 2:30 p.m. Sunday TV: Fox There still hasn’t been a repeat winner on the NASCAR circuit this season as the drivers move on to Fontana, Calif. Native California­n Jimmie Johnson earned the second of his five victories there in 2016.

Australian Grand Prix

9 When: 12:05 a.m. Sunday TV: NBCS The opening race of the Formula One season will be without the circuit’s defending champion, Nico Roberg, last year’s surprising winner who retired. Lewis Hamilton will be trying to regain the title he lost to his former teammate.

Miami Open tennis

10 When: Friday-Sunday TV: Tennis Channel For the second consecutiv­e tournament, the men and women play at the same venue. The tournament runs through April 2, with the men’s and women’s singles title matches airing that day on ESPN.
