KRISTIE LYNN FLOWER SECHELSKI, 65, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Kristie was born on September 8, 1951, in Houston, Texas to Selman and Mary Flower. After spending a portion of her childhood in Corpus Christi, Kristie returned to the Houston area where she graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School. It was there that she met the love of her life, her soulmate of forty-four years, Thomas Lee Sechelski.

Kristie lived a very colorful life. She worked as homebuilde­r and in the petrochemi­cal industry before finding her calling as an aromathera­pist. Through her business Personal Effects, Kristie provided custom products and taught classes on the benefits of aromathera­py. She touched the lives of every person who walked through the doors of her shop, as well as everyone she encountere­d in her personal life.

Kristie was a loving mother and grandmothe­r. She is survived by her son, Ryan Sechelski and his wife Lisa; granddaugh­ters, Caitlin Callas and husband Matt, and Loren Sechelski; brother Brent Flower and wife Martha and numerous other family members. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Sechelski, her parents, and her sister June Bean.

A Celebratio­n of Life will take place Monday, April 3, 2017, in the chapel at Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E. San Augustine, Deer Park, Texas 77536. The family will receive friends beginning at 6:00 p.m. with a service to follow.
