Bush #43: #41 is ‘joyful, strong’
For those worried about the condition of the 41st president, his son, George W. Bush, is using Instagram to put their minds at ease.
The younger Bush on Thursday evening posted a photo of himself with former President George H.W. Bush, who is recuperating from a mild case of pneumonia at Houston Methodist Hospital.“Pleased to report that 41 is joyful, strong and ready to come home soon,” the 43rd president wrote.
His 92-year-old father shared the photo on Twitter with the message, “Big morale boost from a high level delegation. No father has ever been more blessed, or prouder.”
The elder Bush was admitted to the hospital April 14 due to a persistent cough that prevented him from getting proper rest, family spokesman Jim McGrath said. The cough was later diagnosed as mild pneumonia, and he was to remain hospitalized through this weekend.
