The former Crestmont West, a 308-unit complex severely damaged by Hurricane Ike in 2008, will be demolished and rebuilt as The Pointe at Crestmont with 192 units of affordable housing. The city has approved $20 million in bond financing through the Houston Housing Finance Corp., and developer LDG Multifamily will receive state housing credits, city block grants and city reinvestment funds.
