Justino (Tino) Rosales, beloved husband, father and godfather joined the Lord and his Savior on May 4, 2017. He passed peacefully at the age of 80 surrounded by his family who loved and adored him. He was born on October 19, 1936 in Houston, Texas to Mariano and Esperanza Rosales. Tino was a fine gentleman who was thoughtful, considerat­e and kind to all. He was generous and always put others before himself. He graduated from St. Thomas High School and went on to study Architectu­re at University of Houston. He served his country in the United States Army in Washington D.C. where he was assigned to the Army Map Service. AMS operated under the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers and was responsibl­e for the drawing of topographi­c maps and 3D images that would be used by the U.S. Military forces. The mission was to create and catalogue foreign maps required by the War Dept. He was proud that this assignment allowed him top security clearance to the White House and Pentagon. He returned to Houston, Texas in 1962 to continue his career with Texaco in Architectu­ral Engineerin­g. A summer internship resulted in a 43 year career.

Tino was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Fernando, Fred and sister, Ana Laura Gonzalez and inlaws, Lisnardo and Carlotta Herrera. He will be missed dearly by his beautiful wife of 57 years and high school sweetheart, Norma Jean and children Rosana Rosales Olah and husband Andrew, son, Nicholas Rosales and sister, Mary Ortegon along with his cousins, nieces and nephews. His sensitive heart and wit will be something they will always remember. He loved the Herrera family as his own and is survived by brothers in law, Robert and Jerry Herrera, sister in-law, Sharon along with numerous Godchildre­n, nieces and nephews. He considered Sebastian and Samantha Humbert as the grandchild­ren he never had. He was also grateful to the loyal staff at Garden Terrace who made his last year so comfortabl­e with their attentive care and service. The family will receive family and friends from 5-7pm, Thursday, May 11, 2017 with a Rosary to be recited at 7pm and eulogies to follow at Earthman Bellaire, 4525 Bissonnet, Bellaire, Texas. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30am, Friday, May 12, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 6800 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, Texas. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
