Gladys Ernestine Evans Plasek

Ernestine, as she preferred to be called, passed from this life on May 21, 2017. She was born December 27, 1913 in Pleasant Grove, a small farming community adjacent to Rosebud, TX, and her parents were Willie Henry Evans and Sadie Elizabeth Hudson. Ernestine Plasek enjoyed a long life filled with joy and happiness. She was an excellent seamstress, terrific hostess and welcomed all to her home where she proudly served “home-cooked” food. Ernestine was a dedicated mother of her two boys, loved all her grandchild­ren, and was a friend to all. She will be missed by all who knew her generosity, genuine caring and willingnes­s to help. Survivors include: two sons, Larry Plasek, Terry Plasek and Shawney, plus three grandchild­ren, Scott Plasek and Kim, Chris Plasek and Lindsey, and Amber and Jason Beene. She was blessed with six great-grandchild­ren, Shelby and Tyler Farmer, Liberty and Grant Plasek, Kaden and Hudson Beene and Finnley Plasek. She has numerous immediate family members including: Danny and Katheryn Reaves, James Reaves, Wayne Plasek, Marilyn and Paul Wedemeyer and Jean and David Prause. In addition, she would have great memories with her extended Hudson and Evans family members.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 24 from 5-8 PM at Memorial Oaks Funeral Home. Chapel Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 25 at 12:30 PM followed by Committal Service in Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
