Mary Margaret Wilkinson Rearick, 85, of Seabrook, Texas, formerly of Houston, Texas, passed away May 27, 2017 at Methodist St. John’s Hospital in Nassau Bay, Texas. Visitation will be held at Forest Park Funeral Home Lawndale, Houston, Texas on June 2, 2017 at 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Forest Park Funeral Home Lawndale, on June 3, 2017 at 10:00 am with the Reverend Pastor Grant W. Housewrigh­t of Evangelica­l Lutheran Church of the Redeemer officiatin­g. Burial and reception will follow at Forest Park Funeral Home Lawndale. Mary was born on September 9, 1931 in Houston, Texas and was frequently addressed as Aunt Moggie, Miss Mary, or Mary Margaret by those who knew and loved her. She went to Sam Houston High School then attended Sam Houston State College in 1951. She met her husband at a USO dance at Ellington Field, Houston, Texas and married him on February 14, 1951. Mary worked at Ford Motor Company, Houston, Texas as a data entry clerk for 32 years. She was an active member of both St. Paul Lutheran Missouri Synod and The Evangelica­l Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Houston, Texas. She enjoyed exercising, shopping, traveling, singing in the church choir, church activities, and spending as much time as she could with friends and family. Mary Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Margaret (Birrell) Wilkinson and Lawrence Emmett Wilkinson; her husband of 52 years Perry Maurice Rearick; sister Lois (Wilkinson) Eames; and brother Alexander “Pete” Wilkinson. Mary is survived by her sister Jean (Wilkinson) Seal of Baytown, Texas; sons Lawrence Emmett Rearick of Seabrook, Texas and Marvin Ray Rearick of Waco, Texas; daughter Michelle Yvonne Rearick; grandson Justin Alexander Rearick of Seabrook, Texas; granddaugh­ters both of College Station, Texas, Nicole Marie (Rearick) Jeske and Alexandra Lindsay Marie Rearick; great grandsons, both of College Station, Texas, Baylon Wayne Jeske and Dillon Wayne Jeske. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Brawner Sunset Haven in League City, Texas, Methodist St. John’s Hospital, and A-Med Hospice for their care and support in Mary Margaret’s final days.
