ROSE ENCLADE DUPREE

1919-2017

Rose “Big Granny” Dupree, born August 4, 1919, went to be with the Lord on June 2, 2017. She joins her loving husband of 39 years, George “Jack” Dupree, her parents, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters in heaven.

She lived a wonderful life that was centered around friends, family, and her devout faith. She was a charter member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, being actively involved with the Women’s Auxiliary Club and helping with the Eucharistic adoration for many years.

She is survived by her devoted brother, Paul Enclade; her children, Phillip Dupree and wife Helen, Rose Marie Stone and husband Edward, Joe Dupree and wife Lisa; 7 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces; and many beloved long term friends.

We will miss everything about her. Her laughter, love of cooking, love of life, and mostly for her love of family.

She will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 W. 34th St., Houston, Texas 77018. Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell St., Houston, Texas 77007. Burial will take place at 2:00 pm at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery, 6900 Lawndale Ave., Houston, Texas 77023.
