Local control

Regarding “Tone deaf in Austin” and “Color of change” letters (Page A31, June 11), it should be noted that our state legislators are elected at the local level. If local control is an important value to the citizens of Texas, we have the opportunity and the power, at the local level, to elect legislators who share this value. Richard P. Cate, Houston
