SUSAN “SUE” MACALISTER BUSHNELL HINDE
1945-2017
Born February 2, 1945, in Rochester, NY. ~ Died June 16, 2017, in Spring, TX.
Beloved teacher, swim coach, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Sue’s classroom mantra was “Learn, laugh, and don’t do stupid.” Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Stone Bushnell, Jr. and Evelyn Macalister Battey Bushnell, as well as her beloved brother, Charles Stone Bushnell, III.
Sue is survived by her husband of 45 years, H. Steven Hinde, as well as her beloved sister and best friend, Sarah “Sally” Freeman Bushnell Tate, and Sally’s husband, Tom. Sue is also survived by her children: Hon. Daniel E. Hinde and his wife, Rosanna; Melissa L. Cole and her husband, USAF Col. (ret.) Andrew; and Andrew J. Hinde and his wife, Nicole; as well as her step-children: Todd S. Tuttle and his wife, Kimberlee; Timothy S. Tuttle and his wife, Eri; Bradley N. Clark and his wife, Tracy; and Stephanie E. Voet and her husband, Chris. Her grandchildren called her “Gee Gee,” and she delighted in her 14 greatest blessings: David M. Hinde, Anne M. Hinde, Madilyn F. Cole, Jack T. Cole, Andrew W. Cole, Connor A. Hinde, Maxine M. Tuttle, Cassandra C. Tuttle, Trinity T. Tuttle, Erika N. Tuttle, Grace M. Tuttle, Josephine L. Clark, Alexandria J. Clark, and Melody E. Voet. Sue relished her role as Godmother and is survived by her Godson, William B. Tate, and Goddaughter, Karyn J. Nordstrom. Sue is survived by her best girlfriend of 50 years, Marty M. Jurkowski, and Marty’s husband, Jay, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Klein Funeral Home, 16131 Champions Forest Dr., Spring, TX from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 26, 2017, with a celebration of Susan’s life at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, at the same location.
Interment will immediately follow at Klein Memorial Park-Tomball located at 32539 SH 249, Pinehurst, TX.
