Wimbledon

When: 6 a.m. Monday TV: ESPN The fortnight of tennis’ most prestigiou­s tournament gets underway. Defending champion and local hero Andy Murray has the honor of playing the first match on center court. Roger Federer is favored on the men’s side. As for the women, it’s anyone’s guess.

LPGA Championsh­ip

When: 2 p.m. Sunday TV: NBC The final round of the next major tournament in women’s golf is scheduled for Olympia Fields, Ill. Saturday’s third round also will be televised by NBC, Friday’s second round by the Golf Channel.

Quicken Loans National

When: Friday-Sunday TV: Golf Channel (Friday), CBS (Saturday-Sunday) The PGA tournament at TPC Potomac benefits the Tiger Woods Foundation, although Woods will not be present. Among the favorites are Rickie Fowler, Justin Thomas and Patrick Reed.

Confederat­ions Cup final

When: 1 p.m. Sunday TV: FS1 The prelude to FIFA’s 2018 World Cup in Russia reaches the final, surprising­ly, without Russia. The host team didn’t even reach the semifinals. Mexico did, but Thursday night’s match against Germany ended after this edition’s deadline.

Pacquiao vs. Horn

When: 8 p.m. Saturday TV: ESPN This fight actually takes place Sunday in Brisbane, Australia, in time for Saturday night prime time in the United States. Unbeaten Jeff Horn (16-0-0) is younger at 29 and fighting at home. Manny Pacquiao (59-6-2) has experience at 38.

Coke Zero 400

When: 6:30 p.m. Saturday TV: NBCSN In terms of prestige, this is the lesser of two NASCAR races at Daytona each year. It doesn’t, however, lack for history dating back to its Firecracke­r 250 days. Houston racing legend A.J. Foyt won his first NASCAR race there.

Big 3

When: 7 p.m. Monday TV: FS1 The new three-on-three profession­al basketball league made its debut last weekend in Brooklyn, selling out the Barclays Center. This Sunday’s four games will be played in Charlotte, N.C. They are tape-delayed for a Monday night broadcast.

Indian at Tigers

When: 11:10 a.m. Saturday TV: Fox Cleveland, reigning American League champion, is in a fight in the AL Central with Minnesota and Kansas City. Another game of interest is Washington at St. Louis on ESPN at 7:05 p.m. Sunday.

NFL Top 100 countdown

10 When: 8 p.m. Saturday TV: NFL Network The network reveals players’ votes for the top five players of 2017. Players six through 10 will be announced at 7 p.m. The Texans have had two players show up in the top 100 — J.J. Watt at No. 35 and Jadeveon Clowney at No. 49.
