Health care now ranks as most important issue

If all politics is local, what could be more local — or personal — than health care?

That seems to be the findings of a new Bloomberg News poll released this week that found 35 percent of those surveyed called health care the most important challenge facing the nation, by far outstrippi­ng all other issues.

It marks the first time in the poll’s history that people have said health care is the most pressing issue since it was included in the questions in July 2010.

CNN reported that health care had never before topped 20 percent in importance and had never outranked all other issues.
