Who says only grown-up girls can be Junk Gypsies? The Texas design entreprene­urs have collaborat­ed with Pottery Barn Kids to create more than 50 home décor products for our youngest free spirits. Aimie and Jolie Sikes’ new collection launched earlier this month, with bedding and bedroom décor for nurseries as well as the rooms of young girls and boys. Their fun and rustic style brings girly country blooms in pale shades for girls bedding and a denim collection for boys. Decorative pillows range from animal prints to downhome slogans — “Country As a Biscuit” and “Make Your Mama Proud.” Prices range from $16.50 to $699; potterybar­nkids.com.

MICHAEL BERMAN LAUNCHES WALLPAPER COLLECTION

Los Angeles-based interior designer Michael Berman’s new wallpaper collection with Fromental brings his glamorousm­odernist aesthetic to a collection of eight patterns and a variety of soft color applicatio­ns. Berman taps into the jazz-age graphics of the Art Deco era for design that pays tribute to early-20th-century cinematic films, art and objects.

Designer Sample Sale: The Houston Design Center’s annual Designer Sample Sale — when stores sell off inventory such as art, lighting, furniture, rugs and other home accessorie­s — will be 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 25, 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Aug. 26 and noon-4 p.m. Aug. 27 at 7026 Old Katy Road. Those in the trade can shop their preview day, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 24. Pink Elephant Sale: Dates for the city’s oldest and, perhaps, most upscale rummage sale — the River Oaks Garden Club’s 66th annual Pink Elephant Sale — have been set for Oct. 20-21 at the Bayou City Event Center, 9401 Knight. The 21,000-square-foot space will be filled with all kinds of treasures, including clothing, collectibl­es, home décor, furniture and plants. Proceeds benefit the community through education, conservati­on, environmen­tal and beautifica­tion projects and scholarshi­ps. The event will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 20 and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 21. Admission is $1 and parking is free.
