-

Houston-based Waste Management reported growth in revenue and net income in the second quarter, though earnings fell short of Wall Street expectations,.

Revenues rose by 7.4 percent, totaling $3.68 billion. Net income came in at $362 million, compared with $287 million in the same period last year.

Positive yield and volume in the collection and disposal business drove the bulk of the quarter’s growth.
