EDWARD JOSEPH BORSKI

1945-2017

Edward Joseph Borski, age 72, born August 3, 1945 in Houston, Texas to Anna Veronica Niscavits Borski and Billie Thomas Borski, passed away peacefully at home in Houston, Texas on July 29, 2017.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Anna and Billie Borski. He is survived by his wife, Marsha, son Chris Moos and wife Heather of Bellaire, Texas, grandchildren Alexandria Christine Moos, Riley Elizabeth Moos, Ryann Catherine Moos, and great-granddaughter, Everlee Marie Bowman. Edward is survived by his sisters Angela Johns and husband Daryl, Bernice Buchanan, Barbara Koschany and husband Carl, and his brothers James Borski, Kenneth Borski and wife Valerie. Also left to cherish his memory, his double first cousins (brothers married sisters and lived next door to each other) Anna Campo, David Borski, Jerome Borski and wife Carol as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins whom he loved dearly.

Edward was a loving, kind, honorable and generous family man, friend, and neighbor. He was a joyful man who was born with the “gift of gab” and never met a stranger.

Edward was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of Knights of Columbus 2917. During his school years at Christ The King Elementary School and St. Pius High School, he developed lifelong friends who have been a constant source of pride and joy. Edward received a baseball scholarship to the University of St. Thomas where he enjoyed playing ball with cherished friends. After graduation from the University of St. Thomas, Edward began his work career at NASA as a contractor with Lockheed Electronics, CSC and SAIC Corp. Work was interrupted when he was drafted into the US Army and stationed in Germany from 1969 - 1971. After completing his service, he resumed working at NASA where he received many awards for his outstanding contributions to various projects which benefited the space program. He loved his work, but even more, he loved his co-workers who became his “Space Center family” over the 42 years he was employed there.

A vigil and a recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 6 :00 p.m., Wednesday, August 2, 2017. A Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. immediately followed by lunch and a reception to continue the celebration of Edward’s life and sharing of memories with the family. All services will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 9900 Stella Link, Houston, Texas.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Allen Collier, James Bertolino, Landon Bertolino, Shane Williams, Mike Williams, Carl Koschany, Jerome Borski and Duston Green.
