Pearce, Jays rally past Angels

TORONTO — Steve Pearce hit his second game-ending grand slam in just four days, and the Toronto Blue Jays pulled off the biggest ninth-inning comeback in team history, rallying for seven runs to beat the Los Angeles Angels 11-10 on Sunday.

Pearce connected with one out off Bud Norris (1-4). On Thursday, Pearce’s slam with two outs in the 10th inning lifted Toronto over the Oakland Athletics 8-4.

PIRATES 7, PADRES 1: Andrew McCutchen hit three home runs for the third time in his career to lift Pittsburgh to a win at San Diego.

MARINERS 9, METS 1: James Paxton tossed six scoreless innings, and became the first Seattle pitcher to win six games in a month after helping take down host Seattle.

DODGERS 3, GIANTS 2: Kyle Farmer hit a walkoff double in the 11th inning to lift Los Angeles past San Francisco at Dodger Stadium.

RAYS 5, YANKEES 3: Corey Dickerson hit a go-ahead, two-run single in a three-run third, and Tampa Bay’s bullpen allowed one hit over five scoreless innings in a win at New York that salvaged the finale of a four-game series.

REDS 6, MARLINS 4: Tucker Barnhart drove in three runs, and visiting Cincinnati ended a six-game skid.

ROYALS 5, RED SOX 3: Alex Gordon’s two-run triple capped a four-run eighth inning as Kansas City rallied for a victory at Boston.

WHITE SOX 3, INDIANS 1: Matt Davidson hit a two-run homer with one out in the ninth inning as Chicago ended visiting Cleveland’s nine-game winning streak.

ROCKIES, NATIONALS SPLIT: Charlie Blackmon had four hits and scored four runs, and visiting Colorado beat Washington in the opener of a day-night doublehead­er 10-6. In the second game, Washington retaliated with 3-1 win.

PHILLIES 2, BRAVES 1: Freddy Galvis hit a bases-loaded single to right field in the ninth to give host Philadelph­ia its second straight walkoff win.

CUBS 4, BREWERS 2: Victor Caratini hit his first career home run, a solo shot that broke a tie in the seventh and helped Chicago win at Milwaukee.

CARDINALS 3, DIAMONDBAC­KS 2: Jose Martinez homered and drove in three runs as St. Louis beat visiting Arizona.

ORIOLES 10, RANGERS 6: Welington Castillo and Jonathan Schoop homered in a five-run fifth inning that helped visiting Baltimore hold off Texas.

ATHLETICS 6, TWINS 5 (12) : Yonder Alonso homered in the bottom of the 12th inning to lift Oakland over Minnesota.
