RANGERS TRADE LUCROY

The Rockies acquired two-time All-Star catcher Jonathan Lucroy from the Rangers for a player to be named, Texas announced Sunday night.

Lucroy hit .242 with four home runs and 27 RBIs in 77 games with Texas this year. Lucroy, 31, threw out 13 of 44 wouldbe base stealers this year.

YANKEES ACQUIRE GARCIA

The Yankees obtained LHP Jaime García from the Minnesota Twins for minor league pitchers Zack Littell and Dietrich Enns.

MILWAUKEE BREWERS

RHP Junior Guerra was optioned to Class AAA Colorado Springs, and the team selected the contract of lefthanded reliever Wei-Chung Wang, who was 5-1 with a 2.09 ERA at Class AAA.

Guerra has struggled after leaving his openingday start with a calf injury, going 1-4 with a 4.96 ERA after returning from the disabled list May 26.

ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

OF Stephen Piscotty is expected to return to the team Tuesday after a short rehab stint in Class A Peoria.

He was put on the 10day DL on July 15 with a groin issue.

TORONTO BLUE JAYS

SS Troy Tulowitzki will see a specialist after being diagnosed with ligament damage in his sprained right ankle.

Tulowitzki was injured trying to beat out an infield grounder in Friday’s loss to the Angels. The veteran infielder rolled his ankle when he stepped on 1B C.J. Cron’s foot, sending Tulowitzki stumbling in pain.

WASHINGTON NATIONALS

After selecting the contract of RHP Erick Fedde from Class AAA Syracuse, the team granted OF Chris Heisey his release.
