The top sports events to watch or attend the next few days.

PGA Championsh­ip

When: 1 p.m. Sunday TV: CBS Jordan Spieth could claim a career Grand Slam in the last major men’s tournament of the year in this final round at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, N.C. Rory McIlroy is the favorite, having won two tournament­s and lost in a playoff at the course in seven appearance­s.

Cowboys at Rams

When: 8 p.m. Saturday TV: NFL Network Dallas won the Hall of Fame Game last week against Arizona despite its star players seeing limited action. Look for them to get more playing time in their second preseason game. The Rams are beginning year two in their second Los Angeles stint.

Red Sox at Yankees

When: 3 p.m. Saturday TV: FS1 New York was hot. Then it was Boston, which has opened a lead in the AL East while the Yankees top the wild-card standings. But the race could flip again in this series at Yankee Stadium.

Pure Michigan 400

When: 2 p.m. Sunday TV: NBCSN This race at Michigan Internatio­nal Speedway, NASCAR’s fastest track, is the last chance for drivers to win a race before the Monster Energy Cup Series playoffs begin.

World track and field championsh­ips

When: 2 p.m. Saturday TV: NBC After his disappoint­ing third-place finish last Saturday in the 100 meters, his last individual race, Usain Bolt returns to the track for a final time in the 400-meter relay on the penultimat­e day of the sport’s most prestigiou­s meet of the year.

Arsenal vs. Leicester City

When: 1:45 p.m. Friday TV: NBCSN The English Premier League opens its 2017-18 season with a match featuring Arsenal, the defending FA Cup champion, and the 2016 league champion. NBC, NBCSN and CNBC will televise four more Premier League matches Saturday.

ASTROS AT RANGERS

1 When: 2:05 p.m. Sunday

TV: ATTSW If the Astros, who are 7-3 against Texas this season, win the first two games of this series Friday and Saturday, both at 7:05 p.m. on ATTSW, they could clinch the Silver Boot in this game. The Astros have outscored the Rangers by a 64-40 margin in their 10 headto-head meetings this season.

Earthquake­s at Dynamo

When: 8 p.m. Saturday Where: BBVA Compass Stadium TV: KFTH The Dynamo are in a four-way tie for second place in the MLS Western Conference. San Jose is in sixth place, but only two points out of the traffic jam up ahead.

FC Kansas City at Dash

When: 7:30 p.m. Sunday Where: BBVA Compass Stadium TV: None The Dash had their six-game streak without a loss broken last weekend against Portland. Interrupti­ng their surge toward the top in the NWSL. They should catch a break in this game against last-place FC Kansas City.

Rogers Cup

10 When: 12:30 p.m. Sunday TV: ESPN2 This unusual tennis tournament north of the border places the women in Toronto, where they play their final first on Sunday, followed by the men’s final in Montreal at 3 p.m. Both matches will be aired on ESPN2.
