ROBERT “BOB” LITTLE

Robert “Bob” Gene Little was born February 19, 1931 in Sublet, Kansas. Bob joined his Lord and Savior on August 20, 2017 in Houston, Texas.

Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife and best friend of 67 years, June Webb Little; son, David Little, and daughter in law, Susan Little; daughter, Ricki Vetters and son in law, Ray Vetters; grandchild­ren and their spouses, Kacey and Paz Maestas; Nick and Lindsey Little, Andrea and Matt Gentle; James and Colleen Vetters; Paige and John Pasta; granddaugh­ter, Courtney Vetters; and 11 great grandchild­ren. He is also survived by his sister in law, Joan Little and several nieces, a nephew and lots of friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Clare and Ruth Henderson Little; by his stepmother, Elmeretta Marteney Little; his brother, W.E. “Bill” Little; his stepsister, Patricia Eller, brother in law, Carl Eller and his grandson, Drew Raymond Vetters.

Bob graduated from Adamson High School in Dallas. It was in Dallas that he met June. They both went to college at Texas A& I in Kingsville, Texas. Love bloomed and they were married June 1, 1950. Bob graduated in 1952 with a business degree. After graduation they moved to Houston where he worked for Amoco Production Company for 34 years until retirement. He loved filling his spare time with family, church, camping, boating and enjoying life with friends. He especially loved coaching David’s baseball teams. After sending their kids off to college they became very involved with the Hey Lollie Square Dance Club. Houston was home until he retired in 1986. Then they moved to their lake house in Riverside, TX and bought a motorhome. Traveling within the great USA was his favorite pastime and the more friends and family he could gather made it even better. Bob loved PEOPLE!! He always had a smile and something positive to say to everyone. His positivity and loving nature made him a lot of friends.

A Celebratio­n of Life Service will be held at Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 11140 Greenbay, Houston, TX 77024 on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 11:00 am with a reception following.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be sent to Star of Hope Mission at 4848 Loop Central Dr., Suite 500, Houston, TX 77081 or the Alzheimer’s Disease Research at PO Box 1950, Clarksburg, MD 20871-1950.
