Colby Henry Osorno was tragically taken from us, way too early by the flood waters of Green’s Bayou on Thursday, the 31st of August 2017. He was found in the flood waters of Green’s Bayou. Colby was born on the 25th of April 1993. Born on April 25th 1993, Colby resided in Meyerland, Houston Texas all of his life.

Colby loved doing many things but his great interest and love was basketball. He began playing at age seven and played for the YMCA, AAU Leagues and the schools he attended. He made the Memorial High School Basketball Team. You could find him playing in the gym in the evenings where he was told by others he would become better playing against more experience players. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church on Sage where he was baptized, made his First Communion and was Confirmed. Colby attended Memorial High School and graduated in 2012. Colby was greatly liked by his teachers, coaches and so many friends. He always had a beautiful smile on his face for everyone and was always giving big bear hugs. He was 6’4” and he made an impression wherever he went. He was planning to attend school and had worked as a Petroleum Inspector.

He is preceded in death by both his grandparen­ts, Mary Muniz and Santos Hernandez and Josephine Heinert-Osorno and Henry Osorno, Sr. Colby is survived by his parents, Gloria Deanda-Osorno and Henry Osorno; brother, Don Deanda (Michele); sisters, Melissa Aucoin, Melanie Theriot and Kayla Marmillion; nephew, Noah Deanda; two nieces; Uncle, Gary Osorno (Susan); Aunt, Cynthia Caravella (Mike); cousins, Chase, Gavin, Bailey, Macey, Ryan and Amanda and many other cousins, aunts and uncles.

Friends are cordially invited to attend recitation of the Holy Rosary for Colby which is to commence at six o’clock in the evening on Tuesday, the 5th of September, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

A Mass of Christian burial is to be offered at ten o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the 6th of September, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1801 Sage Road, in Houston, where Rev. Wayne Wilkerson, is to serve as celebrant. Immediatel­y following, guests are invited to greet the family during the reception in the grand foyer of Geo H. Lewis & Sons.

At a later date, the family will gather for a private Rite of Committal at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery in Houston.
